5/10 - News From The Greens Club
Dear members: The first Greens Club drawing will be held on Thursday May 12th during dinner at men's night. So far 244 have been purchased, which is 47 more than the total for last year. We want to thank everyone who has purchased tickets so far but also remind others there is still time to purchase your tickets.
There are several of you that purchased tickets last year who are yet to buy them for this year. You may buy them at the pro shop, on line via PayPal, or from any of the members who have them or can get them for you. It looks like we should have well over $5000.00 to put back into the club for course improvements this year so thank you for your support!
Adopt-a-Flower Box Contest
We are also looking into having an adopt-a-flower box contest this summer to decorate all the new marble flower boxes. There are 12 boxes that need flowers and several members have expressed interest in doing this, so lets give it a try.
Each hole sponsor will have the first chance to do this and if they do not want to do them, other club members will have the opportunity to adopt that box. We will prep the boxes with top-soil and Miracle Grow potting mix so all they will need is flowers. It should take about $40 to $50 in flowers to do the job, just like Frank Beyette did on his his box last year.
We hope to get them all done by the end of the month and there will be prizes for the best decorated boxes. So please let one of us know if you would like to get together with some friends and adopt-a-flower box.
Member-Guest Raffle
Finally, we will be having our Member-Guest raffle during the Saturday night banquet at the tournament this year in July. We are looking for any kind of prize donations to make this a success.
So check with the company you work for and see what you can come up with for a donation. Our goal is about 25 nice quality prizes. Turn them into to any greens club member or bring to pro shop.
