News from the Women's Sports Committee-June 2016
We kicked off a terrific month of June with the Ladies Member Member Tournament.
52 members competed in three flights with Deirdre Morris and Mary Fregosi prevailing as overall champions. Huge thank you's to all of the individuals and businesses who sponsored a hole or donated a gift to the raffle. A complete list will be on the bulletin board downstairs.
The LSC would also like to thank John Ojala, Reggie Colomb, Dave Lambert, Pat McGee, Laura Sarault, Sarah Laderoute and the entire staff of Garafano's for your special help. We couldn't have done it without you!
Ladies Nights
With the beautiful June weather, Wednesday Ladies Nights have been well attended. We've had some great games, delicious meals and overall fun evenings. If you haven't had a chance to come out, you should definitely put it on your calendar!
Friday Foursomes
Sue Jern has been organizing Friday foursomes again this year. This is another great way to get out and play with some different partners so let Sue know if you want to take advantage of this opportunity.
President's Cup
Play for the President's Cup is ongoing and must be completed by July 4. Members should check your green information sheet for details on this and other upcoming events. Sign up deadline for the Senior/Super Seniors/ Legends Club Championship is July 8th.
Ladies Exchange
We will be hosting a Ladies Exchange with other area clubs on June 29th and Ladies State Day on Tuesday July 5th. It will be great to see old friends from around the state and region, and I know they will appreciate the fine course conditions and hospitality at PPCC.
Ladies Member-Guest
Plans are underway for the Ladies Member Guest which will be held on Saturday, August 6th. We'll be celebrating the return of golf to the Olympics with our own "Play Like an Olympian" event. More information can be found on the application form.
Lastly, the flowers throughout the grounds are looking wonderful and I know many of the ladies have been working hard to keep these looking so good. Your hard work making the course look so special is appreciated.
