News From the Men's Sport's Committee-September 2016
Wow, can't believe the Men's Tournament calendar for 2016 is complete! Seems like yesterday that we were gearing up for the first weekend with the annual State Day and weekend tournaments and skins.
Congratulations to Logan Markie for defending his Club Championship, defeating Jon Leonard in a 19 hole final. Great job by Jon as well, a nice run. And Logan and his partner, Matt Wilson, completed the year with a win in the Toge Erickson Fall Classic. Who's responsible for letting this kid become a member anyway?! :)
The Sports Committee would like to thank the membership for it's wonderful support of all of our events, especially Men's Night's, where we averaged over 120 players each Thursday night. Fantastic, and we appreciate your involvement.
Continue to enjoy fall golf. The course remains in excellent condition - kudos again to Kirk and his staff for the tremendous course conditions we all were able to enjoy for the entire 2016 golf season. A lot of hard work and commitment by the whole staff. Take a moment to offer them each a "Thank You" when you see them, it is much deserved!! We will continue with Men's Night's and weekend skins as long as the weather holds and it makes sense, so play if you are able.
